By the Alphaa team. We build an AI agent that checks what ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity say about businesses, so read this as one side's view. Every Writesonic figure below was read from Writesonic's own pricing and home pages on 27 October 2026, and prices change.

Short answer: In Alphaa vs Writesonic, Writesonic is the broader platform: AI visibility tracking, an AI article writer, site audits and agent workflows for marketing teams, from $79 a month billed annually. Alphaa is an AI agent for one business that checks four assistants weekly and publishes the fixes the owner approves, from $99 a month.

Both products answer the same worry: customers now ask AI assistants which company to choose, and a business that is not named never gets the click. They differ in who runs them, which assistants the entry plans cover, and how much of the work the product does without a marketer in the loop. This page sets out what each one publishes about itself and how to pick.

What is Writesonic?

Writesonic is an AI search visibility and content platform that shows a brand where AI assistants leave it out and helps a marketing team fix that. Its home page calls it "The AI Search Growth Engine" and says it runs prompts across AI platforms daily, reporting visibility, citations and sentiment.

Writesonic started as an AI writing tool, and content is still a large part of the product. Every plan on its pricing page includes a monthly allowance of AI-written articles, brand-voice writing styles and site audits, alongside prompt tracking. The home page describes an Action Center that ranks opportunities by visibility and citation impact, and agents that rewrite pages for generative engine optimization by adding FAQ blocks, comparison tables and citable passages. It also says the platform audits robots.txt, schema and indexing. The home page says Writesonic is trusted by more than 10,000 marketing teams.

What does Alphaa do?

Alphaa is an AI agent that asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity real customer questions about your business every week, records who they recommend, checks 23 things those engines read on your site, and drafts the fixes. You approve each public change, and Alphaa publishes it through its WordPress plugin, its Shopify and Webflow apps, or by emailing the exact change to your web person. Every change has an undo.

The fixes are the ones that usually decide whether a smaller business gets named: service pages that answer the questions customers ask, FAQ content, structured business facts, an llms.txt file, AI-crawler rules, replies to Google reviews and consistent listings. There is no prompt library to build, no seat count and no multi-project console. The design assumption is an owner who spends a minute a week approving work. The mechanism behind those fixes is explained in how to get recommended by ChatGPT.

How much do Alphaa and Writesonic cost?

Writesonic's self-serve plans cost $79, $199 and $399 a month billed annually, and Alphaa costs $99, $199 or $299 a month, month to month. Writesonic prices by prompts, articles, audits, users and projects; Alphaa prices by business. Here is what each publishes, as of 27 October 2026.

The Writesonic page has a monthly-billing toggle and says annual billing saves 20%, so paying month to month costs more than the figures above. It offers a free trial with no credit card on the self-serve plans and mentions a 7-day refund. Alphaa has no free trial; the free 60-second AI check shows what the four assistants say first. Which AI assistants does each tool check?

Writesonic's Starter, Basic and Growth plans track ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, while Alphaa checks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity on every plan. Writesonic's pricing page lists all nine of its tracked platforms, including Claude, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Grok and Google AI Mode, on Enterprise. One FAQ answer on the same page words the Starter coverage differently, so confirm the list for your plan with Writesonic before buying.

This matters more than it looks. Claude and Perplexity answer real buying questions, and each can recommend a different business from ChatGPT for the same query. If your customers use them, a tracker that leaves them out on your plan will miss part of the picture. On the other hand, Writesonic tracks Google AI Overviews on every plan and Alphaa does not scan it directly. Google says AI Overviews draw on pages that are indexed and eligible for a snippet, with no special markup needed, according to its AI features documentation, so the same site fixes apply. How the four assistants differ is covered in ChatGPT vs Gemini vs Perplexity for local search.

How do Alphaa and Writesonic compare feature by feature?

Writesonic gives a team more measurement and more content volume; Alphaa does less but finishes the work for one business. The table summarises what each publishes about itself.

When is Writesonic the better choice?

Writesonic is the better choice when a marketing team wants one platform for AI visibility data and content production, and has someone to run it. Concretely, pick Writesonic if:

  • You want daily tracking across dozens or hundreds of prompts, with sentiment and ads monitoring.
  • You publish a lot of articles and want an AI writer with brand voices built into the same tool.
  • You need Google AI Overviews tracked, or the nine-platform coverage of Enterprise.
  • You run several brands or clients, or need SSO and enterprise compliance.
  • Someone on your team will review audits and act on the Action Center each week.

When is Alphaa the better choice?

Alphaa is the better choice when the business has no marketer and the owner wants the fixes made, not a dashboard to read. Pick Alphaa if:

  • You are one business, or a handful of locations, and want Claude and Perplexity checked from the start.
  • You want changes published to WordPress, Shopify or Webflow after you approve them, each with an undo.
  • Google reviews, your Business Profile and directory listings matter to how you get chosen.
  • You prefer month-to-month billing to an annual commitment.
  • You want the answer to "what changed and why" in plain English each week.

Neither tool can edit an AI model. Both work by improving the public pages and signals that assistants read, and OpenAI, for one, says sites that block its OAI-SearchBot crawler will not be shown in ChatGPT search answers, apart from navigational links, according to its crawler documentation. No vendor can promise a recommendation or a timeline. For more options across the category, see the best AEO tools in 2026 and our comparison pages.

How should you decide between them?

Decide on who will do the work each week: if a marketer will, Writesonic's depth pays off; if nobody will, an agent that drafts and publishes is the safer bet. Three steps make the choice concrete.

  1. Find out what the assistants say today. Ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity the questions your customers ask, or run the free AI check.
  2. Count the hours you have. Platforms with prompt libraries, audits and article quotas reward a person who works them. If that person does not exist, the data goes unread.
  3. Match the engines to your customers. If your buyers use Claude or Perplexity, make sure the plan you can afford covers them.

What else do people ask about Alphaa and Writesonic?

Is Writesonic cheaper than Alphaa?

Writesonic's Starter plan is cheaper at $79 a month, but only when billed annually. Alphaa's Starter is $99 a month with no annual commitment, and it covers Claude and Perplexity, which Writesonic's pricing page lists on Enterprise.

Does Writesonic publish content to my website?

Writesonic lists a WordPress integration on every plan and an AI article writer that produces 15 to 50 articles a month, depending on the plan. Alphaa publishes approved changes to WordPress, Shopify and Webflow, or emails them to your web person.

Can I use Writesonic and Alphaa together?

Yes, nothing stops a team from running both, though most small businesses will not need to. A marketing team might use Writesonic for prompt analytics and content volume while Alphaa handles reviews, listings and the weekly four-assistant check.

Does either tool guarantee that ChatGPT will recommend me?

No, and any vendor that promises it is overselling. Both tools improve the public signals that AI assistants read, but the assistants decide what to say, and answers vary from one run to the next.

Which tool is better for a local business?

For a single local business without a marketer, Alphaa is built for that case: it handles review replies, Business Profile posts and listings as well as the website. Writesonic is designed around marketing teams and content production, as described on its home page.
