Short answer: Alphaa vs Rankscale is a choice between measuring and doing. Rankscale is a credit-based tracker that checks 17+ AI engines on a schedule you set, from $99 a month. Alphaa is an AI agent for one business that asks four assistants weekly and drafts the fixes for the owner to approve, also from $99.

We make Alphaa, so weigh this page with that in mind. Everything said about Rankscale comes from its own pricing page and homepage, read on 29 October 2026. Where Rankscale does not publish something, we say so instead of guessing.

What is the difference between Alphaa and Rankscale?

The core difference is that Rankscale gives a marketer data to act on, while Alphaa acts on the data itself and asks the owner to approve each change. Rankscale calls itself an integrated AI SEO suite for brand monitoring and AI search optimization. Its homepage describes a brand visibility dashboard, an AI visibility tracker, citation and sentiment analysis, competitor tracking, page audits, and recommendations that it labels beta. It also connects GA4 and Search Console (beta) so you can relate AI visibility to traffic.

Alphaa does a narrower job end to end. It asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity the questions your customers ask, runs a 23-point check of what those assistants can read on your site, and then writes the fixes: FAQ pages, structured data, an llms.txt file, Google Business Profile posts and review replies. Nothing goes live until the owner approves it, and it publishes to WordPress, Shopify and Webflow through its integrations.

How do Alphaa and Rankscale compare side by side?

Side by side, Rankscale wins on engine coverage, scheduling flexibility and multi-brand reporting, while Alphaa wins on doing the work for someone who is not a marketer. This table uses only what each company publishes.

How much does Rankscale cost compared with Alphaa?

Rankscale Pro and Alphaa Starter both list at $99 a month, but they buy different things: Rankscale sells credits for queries, and Alphaa sells a flat service for one business. That makes the real comparison less about price and more about what you get for it.

Rankscale Pro includes 1,200 credits a month, up to 4,800 answers from AI engines, 10 brand dashboards and 50 page audits, with unlimited search terms and seats. Pro+ at $229 adds REST API access and 3,000 credits. Growth at $385 adds white-label and agency benefits with 5,500 credits. Enterprise at $780 includes 12,000 credits. Yearly billing saves about 15%, and the page offers a free way to try Pro.

Credits are where the maths happens. Rankscale's FAQ says each query typically costs 0.25 credits per engine per prompt, and its calculator prices some engines higher (Claude at 2 credits, DeepSeek at 1). Its own worked example, 50 prompts run weekly on three engines at 0.25 each, comes to 162.5 credits a month. Daily runs or pricier engines use credits much faster, so model your schedule in the calculator before you buy.

Alphaa costs $99 (Starter), $199 (Pro) or $299 (Full Service) a month, month to month. There is no free trial; the free 60-second AI check shows what the four assistants say about your business today, and plan details are on the pricing page.

Which AI engines does each tool track?

Rankscale tracks far more engines: its pricing table lists 17+, against Alphaa's four. Rankscale names OpenAI ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews and Gemini, DeepSeek, Mistral, Anthropic Claude, Microsoft Copilot, xAI Grok and Meta Muse Spark, plus API model variants in its credit calculator.

Alphaa asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity, the assistants a local customer is most likely to type a question into. It does not report on Copilot, DeepSeek or Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode as separate surfaces. For Google's AI features, Google says in AI Features and Your Website that there are no additional requirements beyond being indexed and eligible for a snippet, so the site fixes that help the four assistants are the same fundamentals Google rewards. If you must report on a dozen engines, that favours Rankscale.

Who does the work after the data arrives?

With Rankscale, someone on your team reads the dashboards and audits and makes the changes; with Alphaa, the agent drafts the changes and the owner approves them. That is the deciding question for most small businesses.

Rankscale's recommendations give prioritized next steps based on where you are losing visibility, and its page audits check any URL for AI visibility. We did not find a feature on its pricing or home pages that writes pages or publishes them to your CMS, so plan for a person, an agency or another tool to do that part.

Alphaa assumes there is no marketer. It decides what to fix from the weekly answers and the site check, writes each fix in plain language, explains why, and waits for a yes. Every published change can be undone. The trade-off is flexibility: you cannot schedule hourly runs, add a dozen engines or white-label dashboards for clients the way you can in Rankscale.

When should you choose Rankscale over Alphaa?

Choose Rankscale if you have someone who will act on AI visibility data and you need breadth: many engines, many brands, or a custom schedule. These signals point that way:

  • You report on engines beyond the big four, such as Copilot, DeepSeek, Grok or AI Overviews.
  • You track several brands or clients and want white-label dashboards or an API.
  • You want prompt research, sentiment, shopping and citation analysis to feed your own content plan.
  • Your team already writes and publishes content and needs a measurement layer on top.

When should you choose Alphaa over Rankscale?

Choose Alphaa if you run one business, nobody on staff does marketing full time, and you want the fixes written for you at a flat price. These signals point that way:

  • You want to know whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity name you for local or category questions.
  • You would rather approve a finished FAQ page or schema fix than read a dashboard.
  • Your site runs on WordPress, Shopify or Webflow.
  • You do not want to budget credits or tune a query schedule.

Neither tool can edit what an AI model believes, and neither can promise a recommendation. Both work through the public signals assistants read. For the mechanism, see how to get recommended by ChatGPT, and for why weekly numbers move even when nothing changed, see why AI answers change every time.

How do you decide in 15 minutes?

Decide by running both against the same customer questions and asking who will act on the result. Four steps:

  1. Write five customer questions. Use a buyer's words, such as "best family dentist in Austin" or "which bookkeeping app suits a cafe".
  2. Run Alphaa's free check. It takes about a minute and shows what the four assistants say today.
  3. Price the same questions in Rankscale's calculator. Pick your engines and schedule and see how many credits a month that uses.
  4. Ask one question of each result: who on my team turns this into a change on the website, and by when? The tool whose output you will act on is the right one.

What else do buyers ask about Alphaa and Rankscale?

Is Rankscale good for a small business?

It can be, if someone will act on the data. Rankscale's entry plans are priced for small teams, but it is a measurement tool, so a business with no marketer still needs someone to write and publish the fixes.

How do Rankscale credits work?

Credits pay for each query Rankscale sends to an AI engine, typically 0.25 credits per engine per prompt according to its FAQ. Some engines cost more in its calculator, and running prompts daily instead of weekly uses credits faster.

Does Alphaa track Microsoft Copilot or Google AI Overviews?

No, Alphaa asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity. If reporting on Copilot, AI Overviews, DeepSeek or Grok as separate surfaces matters, Rankscale lists all of them.

Can I use Rankscale and Alphaa together?

You can, though most small businesses only need one. An agency might use Rankscale to report across clients and Alphaa to draft and publish fixes for a single local client, but a one-location business should usually pick one.

Does either tool guarantee that AI will recommend me?

No, and be wary of any tool that says it does. AI answers vary from run to run, and both tools work by improving or measuring the public information assistants read rather than by controlling the model.
