Short answer: Alphaa vs Search Atlas comes down to scope and control. Search Atlas is a full SEO suite whose OTTO agent deploys technical fixes on autopilot, with AI-engine tracking that grows with the plan. Alphaa does one job: it asks ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity about your business weekly and publishes fixes only after you approve them.

We make Alphaa, so weigh this page with that in mind. Everything about Search Atlas below comes from its own pricing page, OTTO SEO page and homepage, read on 3 November 2026. We have not used its paid plans. Where its pages leave something out, we say so rather than guess.

What is the difference between Alphaa and Search Atlas?

The core difference is that Search Atlas is a broad SEO platform built around classic rankings with AI visibility added on, while Alphaa is a narrow agent built only around what AI assistants say about one business. Search Atlas bundles keyword tracking, site audits, content tools, Google Business Profile management, ad tools and LLM visibility tracking in one subscription, all drawing from a shared pool of monthly credits.

Its headline feature is OTTO, which the company describes as AI SEO automation. OTTO scans a site and fixes titles, meta tags, schema, canonical URLs, broken links, missing alt text and internal links. It can also manage Google Business Profiles, post updates, reply to reviews and turn suggestions into articles. That is a lot of capability, and for an SEO team or an agency it removes a great deal of manual work.

Alphaa starts from the other end. It asks the four assistants the questions your customers ask, records whether you are named and what is said, runs a 23-point check of what those assistants can read on your site, and then drafts the fixes that close the gap: FAQ pages, structured data, an llms.txt file, Google Business Profile posts and review replies. Each one waits for the owner's approval before it goes live.

How do Alphaa and Search Atlas compare side by side?

Side by side, Search Atlas wins on breadth, classic SEO depth and multi-site agency features, while Alphaa wins on AI-engine coverage at the entry price and on a default of owner approval. The table uses only what each company publishes, as of November 2026.

How much does Search Atlas cost compared with Alphaa?

Both start at $99 a month, but they buy different things: Search Atlas Starter buys an SEO suite for one site with one AI provider tracked, while Alphaa Starter buys weekly checks across four AI assistants for one business. Search Atlas lists four plans on its pricing page, and only Starter and Growth show a 7-day trial. Annual prices are not listed.

  • Starter, $99 a month: one project, one seat, one site powered by OTTO, 2,000 tracked keywords, 50,000 universal credits and one LLM visibility project tracking one AI provider.
  • Growth, $199 a month: two projects, three seats, two OTTO sites and AI tracking across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode.
  • Pro, $399 a month: four projects, five seats, four OTTO sites, white-label reporting, and tracking that adds Copilot, Perplexity and Claude.
  • Agency, from $999 a month: ten projects and OTTO sites, ten seats, client portals and unlimited LLM visibility projects.

Alphaa's plans are Starter at $99, Pro at $199 and Full Service at $299 a month, billed month to month, with all four assistants on every plan. There is no free trial; instead, the free 60-second AI check shows what the assistants say about you before you pay. Full details are on the pricing page.

The practical comparison: if you need Claude and Perplexity tracked on Search Atlas, you are on the $399 Pro plan. If you only need those engines watched and acted on for one business, Alphaa covers them from $99. If you need keyword research, rank tracking and site audits too, Search Atlas includes them and Alphaa does not.

Which tool changes your website more safely?

Safety depends on how much you want to review: OTTO is designed to act without asking, and Alphaa is designed never to act without asking. According to its OTTO page, OTTO runs on autopilot and deploys optimizations on its own unless you switch on approval mode. Changes can be reviewed, approved or rolled back at any time, and the page says optimizations stay live after cancellation.

OTTO's pixel method means many changes are applied through a script in your site header rather than written into your pages. That is fast and works on most platforms, but it adds a layer worth knowing about before a redesign or a platform move. Search Atlas also lists native connectors that write changes directly into WordPress, HubSpot, Webflow, Shopify, Contentful and Duda, plus GitHub, Vercel and Netlify for code pipelines.

Alphaa writes changes into the site itself through its WordPress, Shopify and Webflow integrations, one approved change at a time, or hands them to your web person as written instructions. That is slower than autopilot. For an owner who wants to see every sentence published under their business name, it is the point.

Which one is better for showing up in AI answers?

Neither tool can make an AI assistant recommend you, because no tool can edit a model; both can only improve the public signals those assistants read. Google's own guidance on AI features and your website says the same SEO best practices apply and there is no special markup required to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode. Anyone promising a guaranteed AI recommendation is overselling.

Where the tools differ is in what they treat as the problem. Search Atlas treats AI visibility as one dashboard inside a classic SEO workflow: track mentions and citations, then let OTTO keep the technical foundations clean. Its OTTO page talks about AI search and GEO, but the fixes it lists are mostly technical and on-page SEO items. Clean technical SEO genuinely helps, since assistants that search the web lean on the same crawlable, well-structured pages.

Alphaa treats the AI answer itself as the problem. If ChatGPT says you close at 5pm when you close at 8pm, or Perplexity names a competitor for "best emergency plumber in Leeds", the fix Alphaa drafts is aimed at that specific gap: a corrected profile, an FAQ that answers the question, schema that states the facts. Our guide to prompt tracking explains how that weekly loop works, and schema markup for AI search covers the structured data side.

Who should choose Search Atlas, and who should choose Alphaa?

Choose Search Atlas if you are an SEO team, an agency or a marketer who wants one suite for classic rankings and AI tracking, across several sites, with automation doing the routine work. Choose Alphaa if you own or run one business, care most about what ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity say about it, and want every change approved before it goes live.

  1. You manage client sites: Search Atlas. Multi-site OTTO, white label on Pro and client portals on Agency are built for this, and Alphaa is one business per plan.
  2. You need keyword research and rank tracking: Search Atlas. Alphaa does not replace a classic SEO suite.
  3. You want hands-off technical fixes: Search Atlas, with approval mode on if you are cautious.
  4. You want all four major assistants watched on a $99 budget: Alphaa.
  5. You are a local owner with no marketer: Alphaa, because it explains each fix in plain English and waits for a yes.

Some businesses could reasonably use both: Search Atlas for the SEO foundations, Alphaa for the AI answer layer. For a wider view of the category, see our roundup of the best AI SEO agents and the Alphaa vs Semrush comparison.

What else do buyers ask about Alphaa vs Search Atlas?

Is Search Atlas OTTO an AI agent like Alphaa?

Yes, both are agents in the sense that they make changes rather than only reporting. OTTO focuses on technical and on-page SEO and runs on autopilot by default, while Alphaa focuses on what AI assistants say and waits for owner approval.

Does Search Atlas track Claude and Perplexity?

Yes, but only from the Pro plan at $399 a month, according to its pricing page as of November 2026. Growth tracks ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode, and Starter tracks a single provider that the page does not name.

Does Alphaa replace an SEO tool like Search Atlas?

No, Alphaa is not a classic SEO suite and does not offer keyword research, rank tracking or backlink tools. It covers the AI answer layer for one business, which is why some teams pair it with a traditional SEO platform.

Does Alphaa have a free trial like Search Atlas?

No, Alphaa has no free trial, but it offers a free 60-second check that shows what AI assistants say about your business. Search Atlas lists a 7-day trial on its Starter and Growth plans.
